Rainy Season is here in weeks, the 'tarpaulin shelters are in rice fields & dusty surfaces, all will be in mud.
PROJECTS GOAL:
1) So what would you do? - Scatter Aid is acceptable during the 1st days of an emergency, but scatter brained thinking is not OK.
I ask myself how can the Scatter brained thinkers not see the obvious, I met an NGO leader reporting Govt and discussed this plan he laughed it, it’s so bloody obvious - these Emergency leaders are simply not practical and blind to the solution. If it was me and you, and we had families to shelter & provide back to near normal housing it would be easy - clear the rubble. I would simply clear my house and with the recyclables, build a temporary house. I watched a man try to do this with a bamboo pole for a hammer, I see young fathers trying to do this with a clay hammer. With friends I am going to mobilise hammers tools and motivation, then next we will grow a multiplier effect that allows people to help themselves and back to work until govt pays them out for their new more improved home.

THE PROBLEM: High-populated poor countries are all slowly destroying themselves, we see a great need to get poor kids to have fun & love their environment. In a country of 230 million people this will be a first to Indonesia and with help will create a template model that makes it easy for others set up more.
THE OPPORTUNITY: US $5,800 will secure the lease. Our plans are to take on a 30 year lease on a government hotel and convert into a 120 person school kids Outdoor Education Centre. The location is in the world famous Mt Rinjani Mountain Park, we have great government, army and Television company support.

5. Homeless PEOPLES ECO FARM
THE PROBLEM: This amazing project is a story of how Habibi and his father, worked to set up an eco farm cooperative of 20 very poor families, building homes, small school and farm to support them. The recent problem is that children are getting sick, the buildings are far too close to stock and simple homes need relocating, they are not in a position to pay back a loan so they are seek funding or a means to earn more. The village enjoys hosting travelers.
HOW CAN WE HELP: Two travelers staying and paying $20 each for two nights is $80, this is an enormous amount of money and goes a long way.
Mr Habibi wants help setting up some tourism web marketing, and once successful Habibi has been asked to set up several other eco village coops in other regions to create a eco village travelers network. (Thanks to FB and a new website a few tourists are now starting to visit √ )

In the middle of the city there are three very poor communities of 1,100, 1,700 and 1,900 families, the families are all self employed (no welfare here) when sales are down many are struggling to buy clean drinking water. Some families have taken on crippling loans from money sharks who target their homes. Nine children died of water-contaminated diseases last year.
THE SOLUTION: WE HAVE CLEAN DRINKABLE QUALITY LESS THAN 4KM AWAY: According to historians; Alfrom van der Kran, Anthony Reed, Akira Oki, our City Park Springs were originally set up as a 'Song Kang' in 1666, (1692) by King I Gusti Angularah Ktut, an ancient relative of Ekadana who recently bought the site and hosts it today. This historical/spiritual site was a sacred 'big water spring' the King commissioned for the Royal family, the Army and travelers to full their water supplies, and in separate bays either bathe, shower or resting on surrounding seating socialising or take time in the temple area which exists today.

We have set up a small non-profit trust bank where trusted people lend these small emergency only loans of very small amounts for food – thus 'Nano' bank. There is an interesting story how the 1,200 families gave their principal loans back but later had to fight the local mafia moneylenders (who were also attracting village kids to sell drugs to westerners in hotels) with sticks to clear them out of the area.

Ekadana & myself have a unique forested valley shouldered 30-acre beachfront property. many natural iconic features and well suited for a resort is beautiful, and we were going to sell it to sell it to set up a fund for our many projects.The property has blue water coral reef, sheltered harbour, 2.8 kilometres of coastline, lots of endangered animals & backs onto a 300-acre forestland that government will tie into our operation. The location is West Lombok and only one hour from Mataram City and 30km from the new International Airport. We seek only NZ $70 to $90,000 dollars to set up buildings & infrastructure to host 120 kids on 3-day education camps. We plan to include kayaking, trekking, flying foxes, rope courses, an animal, reptile and bird rehabilitation centre, and swallow nesting station. It will be a sustainable self-funding non-profit that has a huge market to support itself as a ‘Team building event location, for many companies such as banks from Mataram City. I have have many skilled, financially successful mates who own huge businesses and are now getting older. I have a huge interest why these 'blessed people' don't move up to the next level in doing projects that are bigger than themselves. Driving non profit projects that lift the lives of people and the environment has to be the pinnacle of a successful businessmans life long career. (Ask Bill Gates and Waren Buffet) This group of people are the power of the planet, they have the skills, resources and contacts to get things done but most waste their later years on golf courses, fixing their boats etc. I believe that a lot of these people don't do anything significant because it is presently too hard, however I also believe that with todays technology there exists the ability to build a special network that makes it fun and easy for these people to set up their own NPO Project any where in the world. We have a blue print of such a network that has unique tipping point features to attract and empower all people to be able to be a powerful part of the Humanitarian & environmental community. We have a small trial model that is being tested and in time we seek to give the blue prints to a more resourceful person.
As multi start up non profit project owners ourselves, we see a huge need for a modern, specially designed network that provides tools and ways people at home can connect to and help front line people with in the field projects. With todays wonderful I.T technology a frontline project that maybe thousands of miles away is in reality now only a internet connection away, and there are thousands of on line tools, apps and ways back line people can be of crucial help.
The platform we desperately need, must provide BUSY TALENTED BACK LINE PEOPLE, WITH SPECIAL TOOLS AND TEMPLATES SO THEY CAN EASILY CONNECT WITH AND BE OF USE TO ‘FRONTLINE PEOPLE AND THEIR PROJECTS’
Although intime I am sure google, facebook and microsoft etc will come up with more special purpose systems and apps for non profits, to date I have not seen anything that comes close to our platform and I am sure they will always lack the tipping point features that makes our platform unique to attract millions and help them to purposefully start and run their own projects.

A ROTARY CLUB FOR OUR GROUP IN MATARAM CITY?
1) The Rotary need is strong, but will this model work for Mataram Project People?:
Lombok, Mataram City and Indonesia in general have so many easy done - small cost projects that could lift the health, prosperity and environment of tens of thousands. The Rotary brotherhood is very probably the worlds most successful model in driving philanthrotropic projects. As new wealth arrives there is a growing desire for many to give back, I feel Rotary will empower these people in a way that makes it fun to do social good.
2) We have the People:
We have a working group of more than twenty business type people. We feel that to create a collaborative, self sustainable community group, the Rotary Model is a proven and productive template that could strengthen our existing group and grow it.
